Hope Knight has been teaching at William Allen Middle School since 2003. For a while, she split her time between the Upper Elementary School and WAMS. Her first choir had 46 members, only one of which was a boy. Since then, the program has grown to over 240 members and, she is proud to say, includes many more boys! Throughout the years, the choirs have gone through many changes. She began her career here with one choir. The following year, Ms. Knight added a Treble Choir. As both choirs grew in size, she added a third choir - the Boys Ensemble. When the schedule no longer permitted three different choirs due to time constraints, the Boys Ensemble and the Treble Choir were combined to what is now the Honor Choir. In addition to choir, she also designed and implemented the Intro to Songwriting, Popular Music, and Music & Society courses currently being offered at WAMS.
